On Maundy Thursday we celebrate the institution of the Lord’s Supper with a Lamb Supper and Holy Communion at 7pm.
The service will end with stripping the sanctuary bare, symbolizing the desertion of Jesus by his disciples and the desolation of the night.
Starting at Hampton Methodist Church (Percy Road) at 10am, we follow the cross to St Theodore’s Church (Station Road) before finishing with praise and hot cross buns here at St Mary’s.
2pm - An Hour at the Cross is a contemplative, traditional Good Friday service.
Join us at any of our four services on Easter Sunday to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ: Dawn service at 5am in the churchyard, Easter Day services at 9.30am and 11am and 4pm in church.
Midweek Holy Communion is on Wednesday at 11.30am, followed by a light lunch.
Are you caring for a baby or toddler on a Thursday morning and would you like friendship, a cup of tea and somewhere for your child to play? We also provide a craft activity, a story and songs. If so, please come and try Oasis in St Mary’s Church from 10am – 11.30am on Thursdays. We will be looking out for you and you will be made welcome.
Join us for an evening of music and celebration as The Central Band of the Royal British Legion presents a programme of popular and uplifting music, including popular classics and familiar pieces from stage and screen. The band is 81 years old this year ( hoorah!) and its founding purpose is to support the fund-raising work of the Royal British Legion and the Poppy Appeal, to which all proceeds from the concert will go. The Central Band is conducted by 3 times BAFTA winner Captain David Cole, OBE, RVO. He was Director of Music of the Royal Marines and personal conductor to her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia. He is the musical director of the RBL’s annual Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.
